Goteki is changing. The most monumental ( and saddest )
change is Dr.A will be leaving the band. He puts it best in his
own words:
"...Hello All
This is Rumor control... Here are the facts!
It has been decided that I, Dr.A will no longer be a part of Goteki.
In the continuing mutation and evolution of the creature that is
Goteki it seems that there will no longer be any need for my role.
And I have been retired.
I was very surprised by this development and not to say more
than a little upset. But I realise that Sneaky believes this to be
best for the band and it is, after all things are said and done,
Sneaky's baby.
In the (almost) 4 years I have been with the band in it's various
forms I have enjoyed myself immensely and am grateful to
Sneaky for having given me the opportunity to be a part of his
band. I hope he is successful with his continuing musical career
and wish Goteki all the best in the future.
My only remaining appearance with the band will be at Whitby.
Its been fun and I will be keeping tabs from the other side of the
footlights.
Dr.A..."
There has been no arguments, and this isn't about clashes in
personality, Goteki is simply changing and the future line-up is
going to be considerably different.
Crash and I will be performing the next two gigs ( London with
Sheep on Drugs this Thursday & Rotterdam on the 24th October
) on our own, and then Dr.A will join us for his final gig, at Whitby
1st Nov. It's the end of the first era of Goteki and Crash and I
can't
thank Dr.A enough for his amazing dedication and hard work
over the last four years - we're hoping he'll carry on helping out in
different ways as time goes on.
The first stage of Goteki is over. Prepare for stage 2.
...but i liked the first stage of Goteki, waaaaah, it won't be the same without the Doktor...
