What *is* Ska, exactly?
I could use a precise definition.

I don't really know the labels. you'll have to write some bands who are SKA.

OK, here we go.
Ska began in jamaica in the late 50s as a mix of R&B and Mento which started a shuffle rhythm known as ska. It didnt last in jamaica, a hot summer slowed the music down and rock steady was born. The music began in england when two british labels Trojan Records and Pama.
In the late 70's Coventry (yes I know) became the focal point as ska made a comeback blended with punk. The specials, selecter and Madness were well known bands. The music then became known as 2-Tone (after a record label).
Ska is an type of music famous for its emphasised off beat rhythm. Also famous for the brass sections involved. On a semi-related note, reel big fish do indeed rock the house.

reel big fish comes under the ska punk section and i would either put [Spunge] there or in with the skapop bit. (NOTE- Ska Pop is in no way a derogatory term. It does not bring spunge down to hearsays level AT ALL but is merely a term within the genre) *shameless plugging* www.reel-big-fish.com
