Lol, I'm not. Well, my nana claims our family are Hebrew royalty, descended from Jesus' brother or something. I didn't know he had a brother. Anyway, as far as I can tell we're the famous Yorkshire Atheists My mum says it's sung at weddings. I sung it at school as well. I think. Since no-one here went to my old school, I can't check:-( Anyway, to follow the thread... I'm now listening to the techno remix! This song rocks.

Yes, Jesus had lots of siblings. So maybe you ARE Hebrew royalty. Cool.
I have no music on... But in my head I'm hearing "There Ain't no Sanity Claus" by the Damned, which is from the early eighties "starting to go a bit bothically off the rails" era of the band.
Includes the lyrics: No! THere ain't no sanity clause! Oh no! There ain't no sanity clause! No! There ain't no sanity clause! Here comes Uncle Nick... Let's give him some stick...

Completely off topic... I thought Mary was a virgin? Or was that just till Jesus was born?

She had lots of kids after Jesus, according to Hebrew mythology.

Don't I just know it?
And they don't teahc that in school, like they don't teach you about Adam's first wife. Oh ho ho! Oh yes! Adam's first wife was called Lilith, but she was ugly and he repelled her, so Jehovah expelled her from Eden and made Eve as a replacement, who was prettier and had big tits.

What! Revelation there I looked it up: "Adam and Lilith never found peace together, for when he wished to lie with her, she took offence at the recumbent position he demanded. "Why must I lie beneath you?" she asked. "I also was made from dust, and am therefore your equal." Because Adam tried to compel her obedience by force, Lilith, in a rage, uttered the magic name of God, rose into the air and left him." She left him! Ancient Hebrew feminism! [And it's kind of like how 'Frasier' had a wife called Lillith, but she wasn't that attractive, didn't get ratings, so they replaced her with a stream of girlfriends, hopelessly out of Frasier's league, but who brought viewers home. Also, Lillith was Jewish. Interesting how everything links to sitcom.]

Wow! Fantastic!
According to Jewish folklore, Lilith goes around killing babies.

I can't believe I didn't know all this. Maybe if they'd taught me this in RS, I'd have listened. It's like in history. They always leave out the good bits.

I'm contentadly listening to Morrissey. Last Tuesday I went into London and Andy and Mike from the Smiths did a talk and then questions and answers from the crowd. There were about 100/150 people there, it was small and personel to the crowd and brilliant. They were more amazing than I could have thought, very witty. They were mean about Morrissey all the time, and I love Morrissey, but I could understand why. They didn't do it even in a slightly tasteless way though, they did it with taste. And they are allowed, but only them! (noone say anything mean about Morrissey!) I bought a book, that I could have got signed, had I had the time, but we had to run through the underground and only justttt got our last train as it was. Running through London underground at 11pm is so fun, it was like in a film, seeing this talk and then running, and just getting the train. It was amazing. The book has the best pictures in ( it's a photobook). Anyways, I am now on Piccadilly Palare.
2 stars!
