Well. Things had been a bit iffy recently. And, to cut a long story short - Katie is no longer part of the band. It was a mutual decision discussed by all band members and we concluded that it would be best if she was no longer part of the band. Katie did not wish to comment on this matter.
We'd also like to add that we love Katie. A lot. This might not make a difference but it is true. We will miss her as a band member. But this is for the best. The last year and a bit has been great. I hope we can put this behind us and stay friends.

crikey, you and Seafood in the space of 24hrs, what is the world coming to..  well, some of the best bands in the world are trios, 3/4 as many people and 4/3 as much talent.. or something.. i suppose i should say good luck, but its being a bit negative and i don't think you'll need it  |

Sad to see Katie go  Dudes, Ben Folds Five were a trio. Everclear are a trio. OK, I know this doesn't seem helpful, but they rock and so do you. As noony said, good luck, but I don't think you'll need it. |

I have so many things I could say right now. I don't want to descend into bitching and sniping. This started off amazingly amicably, but I'm afraid that as the evening has progressed things have taken a less civil turn.
I have found that I've been painted as "the bad guy." By certain people. You know me - I'm one of the bloody meekest, most timid, mild-mannered and innoffensive people you could ever hope to meet, yet I'm being portrayed as EVIL CONTROL FREAK PEFF.
Apparently I wrote a bitchy send off for Kate on this website. Well, what a load of crap. I haven't been on the computer since before this all kicked off. everything written on here has been by Charlie. You can see for yourself that none of it is bitchy. Our bitterness is amazingly constrained, given some of the things we've had said to us this evening.
I just want to say that right now I feel upset. Angry. Very, very hurt. Dissapointed. Disgusted. Disenchanted. Betrayed.
We have agonised over this decision. We came to a consensus as a group, it wasn't just me saying "I don't like Katie, so let's kick her out, because she's prettier and thinner than I am." After a few weeks of detatchment it seemed as if Katie was no longer interested in staying in the band. She had a list of points that she was unhappy with, and I could easily put up a list of counter-attacks, but I won't, because I don't want to get into sniping.
We talked to Katie, and she made it clear to us that she didn't want to carry on with us. She even said "I'm getting kicked out. This is fun." We asked her again and again if she had anything to say to us, or any message to give on the website. She declined. It seemed best for everyone if we went our seperate ways.
One thing that seems to have been forgotten is I genuinely liked the girl. She made me laugh, she made me happy, she was a friend.

Dude, don't get *too* excited about solo stuff, it's not John Lennon leaving the Beatles exactly... [And I don't care how sad the Beatles reference makes me seem, lol, Hole, My Ruin, Otep aren't my choices for best four pieces ever to be honest, sorry  ] |

it is of my humble onpinion that the best vocalists play an instrument and write the material that they play/sing. It's the only true way to understand and feel what you are doing. And that is the true basis for a band, for every member to feel, associate with, and breathe the music that they play.  anyway....................... |
